Howdy! I’m John Harmon

About me

I’ve worked in the building trades for more than twenty years, with experience building new homes, remodeling older ones, apprenticing as an electrician and plumber, and handling general maintenance and repairs. After years of hands-on work, I decided to start my own handyman business.

I’m a lifelong Christian and an active member of the Methodist Church. I take my word and integrity seriously, and you can trust me to be honest, dependable, and straightforward.

Originally from Kentucky, I’ve lived in Texas for the past ten years. My wife is a native Texan, and we live on family property dating back to 1863. Her grandfather built our home in the 1970s, which I later renovated from the foundation to the roof. We’re proud to be part of the Parker County community.

Earlier in my career, I worked with a ministry in Kentucky overseeing home repair projects for families in Appalachia, gaining valuable experience while serving others.

Fun fact about me

I’ve also worked in the Near East and Africa as a professional archaeologist.  This was me in Sudan, where I excavated a Kushite pyramid temple.  Sometimes I spend July in the field, where I teach a college course in archaeology.
